30" x 15" Acrylic
During a quiet moment in the forest, I gazed around my surroundings wanting to revel in all the sounds, scents and sights that enveloped me. Hemlocks towering overhead, collecting the breeze from Little Barnum Lake showered their needles down to the ground. As I ventured further on I came upon this giant grasping a granite boulder, setting it's roots over and around the rock in a life and death grip. The tenacity of nature never ceases to inspire.
