40 inch x 40 inch acrylic
Featured in the ``Artists of Algonquin`` coffee table book
This painting was inspired by a photograph and reminds me of spring when the forests become almost neon in their colour.
This painting makes me feel happy.
I love this piece in particular because of the almost abstract quality of the sun shining through the leaves. I love the brightness of the whites on the bark of the trees. They feel as though you could walk into the forest and feel the sun on your face.
Below is a poem inspired by this work. It was written by Elana Wolff. Thank you Elana, I think you captured the essence of the painting!
