elementary school kids workThis gallery is dedicated to the children I teach art instruction to at our elementary school. The images are of work done by the kids. They are inspirational and creative. I am very proud of all of them! Environmental element of design study with grade 8 studentsThe students created a sculpture in modelling clay with theme based on organic line design. A mold was made from the sculpture and paper pulp made from recycled paper was pressed into the mold. After it was dry, the students painted the sculpture white and mounted thier work on to a black back board cut from discarded matt board donated by a local framing shop. Individually, the pieces are wonderful expressions of line made in an environmentally sound manner. Collectively, the pieces work in unison to create a dynamic art installation that constantly changes with the light giving movement to the whole display. ![]() Click on the image to enlarge
