Sorry, this painting is sold! .
A Beautiful Day This image was inspired by a photograph taken by my husband at Big East Lake in the Haliburton area during a camping trip. The name of this painting was inspired by the U2 song, "A Beautiful Day" "... don't let it slip away ...". I can feel the warmth of the sun on my face. I can feel the roughness of the rock. I get a sense of quiet when I look into the painting. Just like you do on a beautiful day. This painting is definitely a favourite for me. One of my most favourite aspects of this piece is that it makes me feel like I’m lying on the bow of the boat as it passes the island. The water has a sense of movement about in the foreground that reminds me of sitting in the front of our boat when I was a kid, just watching the water zip past.
