Winter Birches9" x 12" watercolour Featured in the ``Artists of Algonquin`` coffee table book Click on the image to enlarge
This is in a private collection One of the best things about winter at the cottage is the colours of the snow and the shadows cast upon it creating an abstract weave of blues and purples. Birch trees seem so dramatic to me during this season almost blending in but making their presence known by their ragged edges and amazing colours. |
